What it is
Glutathione is a tripeptide (glycine, cysteine, glutamate) produced naturally in the liver and present in every cell. Functions include neutralising reactive oxygen species, regenerating vitamins C and E, supporting liver detoxification phases I and II, modulating NK cell and T-cell immune activity, and protecting cellular structures from oxidative damage. Injectable glutathione bypasses the near-complete oral bioavailability problem. Research applications include liver support, heavy metal detoxification assistance, skin brightness (via melanin modulation), immune enhancement, and oxidative stress management.
