What it is

KPV is a tripeptide C-terminal fragment of alpha-MSH (Lysine-Proline-Valine) that carries the anti-inflammatory activity of the parent hormone. Binds to melanocortin receptors (MC1R and MC3R) on immune cells, intestinal epithelial cells, and CNS cells to suppress NF-kB signalling (the master switch of inflammation), reduce IL-1beta and TNF-alpha production, and strengthen intestinal epithelial barrier function. Research applications include inflammatory bowel disease models, gut permeability research, skin inflammation, and systemic anti-inflammatory baseline support. In the KLOW blend it provides the gut-lining protection and immune-calming layer.
