What it is

Thymosin Alpha-1 is a 28-amino acid peptide originally isolated from thymic tissue. It is the active ingredient in Zadaxin, FDA-approved for hepatitis B and cancer adjuvant therapy in certain markets — giving it unusually strong clinical research backing. Primary mechanism: activates dendritic cells, enhances NK cell cytotoxicity, promotes Th1 immune polarisation, upregulates MHC class I expression on tumour cells, and demonstrates direct antiviral activity. Research applications range from general immune maintenance (lower dose) to acute viral illness support (higher dose), post-illness recovery, and autoimmune condition research.
